Remo Stars forward, Isaac James has expressed his excitement ahead of the kickoff of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season this weekend, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The forward who just returned from his injury after missing out for severally weeks due to knee issues, as the Daniel Ogunmodede continued preparation ahead of the new football season.
While speaking in an exclusive interview with BSNSports.com.ng on Tuesday, Isaac revealed that he is ready for the tasks ahead of the NPFL season which kickoff off this weekend.
“I feel excited that the league is finally starting this weekend, ” Isaac said.
” I’m ready for the tasks ahead and even as a team, winning the title is our main target this season.”
The Benue-born forward expressed hopes after returning from his injury setback, says that he is fully ready to start the season with the Sky Blue Stars .
” Yes, I had few injury setback, but I have since returned to training with the team,” he explained.
“But, hopefully I will be ready for all the matches this season so that we can achieve our main targets.”
Isaac also revealed that there is enough qualities in the Remo Stars squad to win the league this season.
” I feel everyone in the team has individual goals, and a positive one at that, and yes we have the qualities and like I said winning the NPFL title is the goal for us.”
