Unable to contain his excitement as tears of joy dropped from his cheek, Niger Tornadoes chief coach, Majin Mohamed said God Almighty that gave them the three points against a difficult Shooting Stars.
Coach Mohamed said only Allah can perform such miracle because the goals came all hopes were almost lost.
“What can I say than to give glory to God. It was not easy but thank God he gave us the three points. 3SC are not pushover and they came for the match fully prepared.
“Remember their coach, Gbenga Ogungbote is not a small coach, he as been in the system for long,” said.
Asked to explain what he told his boys in the dressing when they were to trailing 1- 0 in the first half, coach Mohamed said:
“I told them in football, it is not over until it’s over. I tried to raise their morale by telling them that if 3SC can score us one in the first half, we can as well go into the second half equalise and score the winning goal.
“I told them to calm down in front of goal and take their chances and that was what happened.”
The Tornadoes coach said lessons have been learnt, both by him and his players, stressing that the lessons would go a long way to help his team as they put in place strategy to move away from the danger zone.
