The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) organizers have fixed Wednesday, January 24, 2024, as the date for the rescheduled match day 11 fixture between Rangers International F.C and Rivers United F.C which will take place at ‘The Cathedral, Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
A release from the organizers and endorsed by the Chief Operating Officer, Prince Davidson Owumi, titled, ‘Re-Arrangement and Rescheduling of Match Day Fixtures’, directed all involved in prosecuting matches to ensure that all logistics were available.
The Rangers vs. Rivers United earlier scheduled for December 3, 2023, had to be pushed forward to the new date of January 24, 2024, due largely to the involvement of the Port-Harcourt side in the CAF Confederation Cup 2023/2024.
Before the rescheduled encounter, the coach Fidelis Ilechukwu tutored side will make a road trip to Eket, Akwa Ibom state for a date with Akwa United in a match day 19 fixture with high hopes of maintaining their newfound form that helped the ‘Flying Antelopes’ annihilate the ‘Savannah Scorpions’, Gombe United, 4-1 in a match day 18 fixture over the weekend.
