…as Kamar Adegboke sealed victory for the host
Lobi Stars suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat in the derby clash against Nasarawa United at the Lafia City Stadium, despite a promising display.
Coach Daniel Amokachi’s side dominated the early proceedings but they were unable to capitalize on their dominance.
Nasarawa United broke the deadlock through Adegboke’s goal in the 12th minute, which eventually sealed the victory for the host team.
Lobi Stars’ Johnmark Aule and John Lazarus came close to equalizing, but goalkeeper Galadima Mohammed denied them.
In the second half, Coach Amokachi introduced Stanley Oganbor and Samuel Tiza to boost attacking options.
However, the team lacked the finishing touch to hurt the host, and Nasarawa United claimed the three points after the final whistle.
In a post-match reaction, Coach Daniel Amokachi expressed disappointment with the result, citing his team’s dominance in the game.
He urged the players to redouble their efforts and focus on the next derby against Plateau United on Matchday 17.
