Sporting Lagos have been charged for breaching the Framework & Rules of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in the course of their Matchday 9 encounter against Heartland FC on Sunday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos.
Sporting Lagos escaped defeat after equalising in the 90+10 minutes against visiting Heartland FC as they shared the spoils 1-1.
The Lagos-based club breached rules after their supporters threw objects onto the pitch during the course of the game.
The NPFL has fined Sporting Lagos the sum of N1 million for failing to provide adequate security and are directed to pay the fine within 14 days to avoid further sanctions.
The club have also been ordered to implement an effective matchday security arrangement and organise a re-orientation programme for their supporters.
