Rivers United Liberian import, Gibson Mark says his ultimate ambition is to play for Lone Stars of Liberia.
Gibson whose introduction into his team’s match against hard-fighting Sunshine Stars at the ongoing NPFL Championship play-off at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena Onikan, Lagos helped in earning his side a penalty kick in the encounter told our correspondent shortly after the game that he’s happy helping his team beat Sunshine Stars and promised to continue to contribute positively for the success of the Pride of Rivers.
He was emphatic that though he’s enjoying his game in Nigeria, his ultimate ambition is to play for the Liberian national team.
“I’m enjoying my game with Rivers United and I’m happy that Coach Eguma has a lot of confidence in my ability to deliver when it matters most, but most importantly it is my dream to keep on improving on my game so that I will have a chance to be invited to play for the Liberian national team,” he stated with great optimism.
Gibson commended the management of GTI for its huge investment in the Nigerian league as well as the Interim Management Committee of NPFL for doing a great job. He also expressed confidence that very soon many players from the African continent will be eyeing to ply their trade in Nigeria.
