Remo Stars player Adebayo Lekan who gave his side lifeline against Rivers United has emphatically vowed to continue pushing his team for greater showings as the 2022/23 NPFL Championship play-offs enters Match Day 3 in Lagos.
Lekan insists that his side has the capability to win the tourney as the players are working so hard to realise the tall orders.
“We are truly focused. We are not relenting on that avowed mission. The terrain no doubt is tough but we will triumph at the end of the day. Remo is not a pushover team. We have shown and displayed great traits of good football. It will continue. Remo Stars team has thrown the championship open for every team to compete for the ultimate trophy,” he said.
The hardworking player further claimed that Remo Stars stopped Enyimba’s from running away with victory in the first game and here again, Rivers United were equally stopped from assuming leadership position at the ongoing NPFL play-offs.
“Remo Stars is in this championship for a mission. You cannot wish the team away. The players are young and also good ball jugglers too. You have seen the stuff the team is made of as the game against Rivers United was tougher than the first match. We are not done yet. God is on our side, and we will get there,” he concluded.
