Scorer of Enyimba FC’s two goals against Sunshine Stars in Match Day 4 of the ongoing NPFL Championship Playoffs, Chijioke Mbaoma has assured the teeming fans of the Aba club that he is ready to increase his goal tally on Sunday against defending champions, Rivers United.
Mbaoma struck in the third minute to give Enyimba the first goal in the match and made it a brace in the 7th-minute of the first half.
Speaking to our correspondent shortly after the game, he explained that he is happy scoring two goals noting that before the match, he had the premonition that he was going to score and thanked God for making his dream a reality.
On what to expect from him in their deciding match on Sunday against defending champions Rivers United, he expressed optimism that he will score against them, noting that he understands the art of goal scoring and will put it into practice on Sunday.
“I’m happy recording a brace against Sunshine Stars and kudos must go to our technical crew and all the players for their support. I promise our teeming fans that come Sunday in the final match against Rivers United, they should also expect goals from me because that is what I know how to do best,” he said.
