Technical Adviser of Heartland FC of Owerri, Emmanuel Amuneke says he will not promise Heartland football fans anything as they trade tackles with Katsina United FC in their Week 23 NPFL cracker at the Mohammed Bakko Stadium, Katsina this weekend.
Amuneke, whose wards on Sunday, posted what Owerri football fans have adjudged as their best performance at the Dan Anyiam Stadium this football season, a comprehensive 2-0 bashing of high-flying Rivers United of Portharcourt, with the first goal coming f through a scissors-kick perfected by skipper Christian Molokwu and the second goal coming from Joel Okoro through a hot grounder that caught Rivers United goalkeeper napping, said he would not make promises prior to the match.
According to him, ” Like I have always said, I don’t make promises. The league is just a journey.What we are going to do is to work hard and make sure we work on one or two players and get them ready before our next match against Katsina’.
Amuneke who noted that Heartland had not had it so good in the last few years, said his target was to make sure that the necessary things were done to return the team as a formidable side and make fans happy again.
