Former Super Eagles player, Edema Fuludu has expressed happiness with the organisers of the NPFL Play-offs noting that the tournament brought out the best in the players.
In an exclusive interview with GTI Media, he posited that both the IMC and their strategic partners GTI Assets Management and Trust Limited must be commended for the efforts they are putting in place to revive the country’s domestic league.
“I’m highly impressed with what I saw at the ongoing NPFL Championship Playoffs. The level of officiating, discipline among players cum fans and the organisation of the entire competition are excellent. I think the organisers did a marvelous job,” began the former NNB, BCC Lions and Julius Berger player.
“One thing I also noticed about the tournament is that fans are gradually coming back to the stadium to watch our domestic league and there has also been great improvement in the officiating which is commendable.
“You’ll also notice that all the match officials were kitted by the organisers and there was no recorded incident of hooliganism or accusation of favouritism by club officials against referees which to me is a welcome development. All these attributes will help in the development of the game, and I want the organisers to continue on that level as that is the only way more sponsors will be attracted to the league,” concluded the one-time Altay of Turkey playmaker.
