Dependable left-back of Sporting Lagos, Emeka Nwokeji said his personal target is to help the team secure a continental ticket in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League.
Speaking with Wakawaka Sports Extra on Global FM Sports Update, Nwokeji noted that he is working hard to become a better player in the coming season.
According to him, the team is poised to attain greater heights in top-flight football after gaining promotion from the lower league.
“My personal target is to help the team get the continental ticket, be among the top scorers and get the highest assists by the end of the season and also a national team call-up.
“My expectation is to continue performing from where I stopped last season and even become better. So, I’m seriously working on the areas I need improvement and to have one of the best seasons.
“I think as a team our aim first is to still be in the league, finish as top four and God’s willing winning the league because that’s the prayer and preparation of everything team. We are working so hard in training to achieve that by the end of the season.”
