Maduabuchi Osuorji, the new Team Manager of Heartland looked emotionally disturbed Sunday after the Naze Millionaires spirited efforts to pluck all three points against Sunshine Stars to ease their relegation worries failed to come to fruition.
Instead, the five time champions were hard done by I’ll luck and tepid finishing inside the final third, culminating in a shared spoils of one goal apiece.
However, Osuorji spoke to Exclusivenews.com.ng Monday morning just an hour after returning to base to prepare for the Katsina Utd trip, saying that rescuing Heartland’s season is a task that must have to be accomplished.
Putting behind the sad result in Awka on Sunday,,Osuorji reckons that ‘it’s no retreat, no surrender’ as fucus shifts to the next fixture.
“It’s unfortunate that we dropped points against Sunshine Stars.
“We set out to get a win in that game. But it never gonna be over until its over”, he said in an emotion ladden tone.
“Going forward, it’s ‘no retreat, no surrender’. We fight for every single game and believe we will get our season back on track”.
With 15 matches remaining on the fixtures, meaning Heartland still have a whole lot of 45 points to play for.
They are currently tuck at,the base of the standings with 19 points after 23 round of games.
