The Solid Miners fell to a 1-0 defeat against hosts, Sunshine Stars of Akure in Sunday’s match-day 8 fixture of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League Season.
The solitary goal came in the 18th minute, courtesy of Opeoluwa Olufemi’s easy tap-in after a deflection left goalkeeper, Mohammed Galadima, helpless.
Despite dominating possession and creating avalanche of scoring opportunities, Nasarawa United could not find the equalizer at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, the make-shift home ground of the Owena Whales as Sunshine Stars are nicknamed.
United drops to 13th position from eight games with 9 points, while Sunshine Stars move up to 4th position with 13 points.
