The Solid Miners had an evening to forget in a hurry after losing 1-0 to hosts, Warri Wolves, in Ozoro, Delta State, on match-day fifteen of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League campaign.
Othuke Egbo scored the solitary goal of the encounter in the 7th minute of the first-half as the home side jealously guarded the scoreline to scoop all maximum points.
Sunday’s result temporarily altered Nasarawa United’s top-of-the-table status, dropping down to 2nd position behind Ikorodu City on goals difference but same 27 points. Wolves moved up to 6th position with 22 points.
The Solid Miners will return to Lafia where they will host visiting 10th-placed Shooting Stars Sport Club of Ibadan, on Sunday, 7th December, 2025, at the Lafia City Stadium by 4pm.
POST-MATCH REACTIONS:
MANGUT MBWAS(TECH. ADV./NAS): “I am not disappointed with today’s result, even though our hosts banked on our early mistake to take the lead and defended firmly to secure the maximum points.
“However, we played better, missed a lot of goalscoring chances, but were just unlucky.
“The league is still a marathon. We will recover as quickly as possible from today’s defeat.
“We will keep fighting till the end of the season to achieve our target.”
