Ex- Super Eagles defender and Chairman of Anambra State Football Association, Chikelue Iloenyosi has expressed satisfaction with the recently concluded NPFL Championship Play-offs describing it as highly successful.
Iloenyosi popularly known as ‘General’ noted that the seamless organisation of the championship by the Interim Management Committee (IMC) and their strategic partners, GTI Assets Management and Trust Limited coupled with the huge turnout of fans at the play-offs is an indication that Nigerian domestic league is gradually coming back to life.
“Kudos must go to the IMC and GTI for the great job they’re doing to reposition the country’s domestic league. The organisation of the NPFL Championship Play-offs was superb as there was no reported case of fans trouble, vandalism, fighting or poor officiating by the match officials and we’re all looking forward for better days ahead of Nigerian football,” he said.
Iloenyosi however charged the league organisers to sustain the momentum so as to attract more sponsorship to the league and make Nigerian football take its rightful position in the continent and globally.
He also congratulated Enyimba International of Aba for winning their 9th NPFL title describing them as worthy champions.
