GTI COMMENDS MEDIA AHEAD 2024 STRATEGIC ROADMAP

Strategic partners to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), GTI Asset Management and Trust Limited, have commended the efforts of the sporting press in the outgone year, 2023, for their professional coverage of the elite league as they step up plans for 2024.

In its New Year message, GTI’s Head of Media and Publicity, Andrew Ekejiuba, commended the media for embracing GTI’s vision for elite football development and thumbed up their valuable reports targeted at stakeholders of the NPFL to implement the business aspect of the game in all their activities.

“We want to thank the sporting media for keeping the flag flying in the outgone year 2023 with your wholistic reports targeted at restructuring the elite league and ensuring that all stakeholders of Nigerian football key into the vision of GTI in seeing that club football is administered as pure business.

“The efforts of Rangers, Sporting Lagos, Remo Stars, Bendel Insurance, and other clubs to secure sponsorship deals ahead of the 2023/2024 season are quite commendable and also an indication that they are gradually keying into GTI’s quest at seeing these clubs being administered as a pure business enterprise.

“Therefore, we call on the clubs and their management to maintain the tempo in the New Year as we continue to partner with Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye’s NPL Board to deliver a flawless league to our great country.

“However, GTI as a strategic partner to the NPFL is leaving no stone unturned in laying a solid foundation for the league to thrive in the country and we believe that with the way NPFL is developing and evolving, by the next few seasons the elite league in the country will rank among the best in Africa,” Ekejiuba said.

On GTI’s New Year message to the media he added: “As we bid farewell to 2023 and stand on the threshold of another history-making New Year, 2024, we want to express our deepest gratitude to the sporting press in Nigeria for your unwavering support and loyalty throughout the past year.

“Officially, 2023 was the year GTI took the giant leap towards a practical restructuring process of our elite league as strategic partners to the NPFL following the commencement of the 2022/2023 abridged league format.

“The massive support the sporting media gave to GTI Group and the Nigeria Football League in 2023 was unquantifiable as we make bold to state that your trust has been the driving force behind our success story.

“However, as we commence activities into 2024, we carry the lessons of the past and the enthusiasm for what lies ahead since the NPFL project is still a work in progress.

“In 2024, we have to continue providing the necessary strategic support as enshrined in our agreement with the NPFL Board and we also want to ensure that our commitment towards a well-restructured elite league is achieved at a record time.

“Regarding the feedback on our strategic partnership with NPFL, it has been topnotch; from the podcasts, the online media, the great match day analysis to the print and electronic media organisations, we are humbled and turbo-charged as we look forward to even more opportunities to exceed your expectations.
