The Solid Miners followed up with their 1-0 home win against Abia Warriors last weekend to share the spoils against another Abia-based club, Enyimba, at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, on match-day three of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League encounter.
Both sides made relentless efforts to score but wasted the avalanche of chances that came their ways, with defensive solidity also contributing to keeping the scoreline at a goalless stalemate, a result that proved vital for the Solid Miners against the nine-time league champions.
The Coach Mangut Mbwas-tutored Nasarawa United now 11th on the league table with have four points from three games, while Enyimba are 9th position with a point more.
The Solid Miners will return to their base in Lafia where they will face 2nd-placedWikki Tourists FC of Bauchi on match-day four on Sunday, 14th September, 2025, by 4pm.
POST-MATCH REACTIONS:
Coach Mangut Mbwas(NAS): “It’s a game that both teams gave a good account of themselves.
“We both had our playing and scoring chances. We were lucky to have been able to absorb a very strong side.
“We created some chances but couldn’t take the opportunities.
“Before we came here, I told my players to be more relaxed, noting that Enyimba should be more under pressure, not us, because they are home and looking for the maximum points.
“Our game plan worked out for us and at the end of the day, we shared the spoils.
“This result is massive for us, even though the league is just starting. Every point counts, and it’s even more important if it’s against a strong team like Enyimba who have won the CAF Champions League twice before.
“We keep improving in each game, and I am glad about that.
“We will go back home to consolidate on today’s result when we face Wikki Tourists FC in our next game.”
