Days after appointing Paul Offor as chief coach of Kano Pillars, the management of the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL side has been shown the exit door.
The state commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mustpaha Rabiu Kwankwaso, in a statement pointed out the decision to sack the interim management and board members was hinged on the expiration of their tenure in office.
Kwankwaso directed the management to proceed with the immediate handing over of the affairs of the club to the most senior civil servant attached to the team.
He, however, thanked the board members for their service to the club, the people of Kano and the extended football family.
The sacked management team led by Alhaji Babangida Umar Little had announced the appointment of Paul Offor, two days ago, as the new technical adviser of Kano Pillars ahead of the new season.
Offor could be left in limbo if incoming management decides to differ with decisions of the sacked board.
However the emerging team has got work on their hands as they bid to turn around the fortunes of Pillars in the 2024-25 NPFL season scheduled to commence on 31 August.
